Barn Team: Will cross train with Hobby Horse Gift Shop Team
Desirable traits:
Friendly, people oriented. Must be able to learn tasks quickly and perform them with limited supervision. Enjoy working outdoors. Should be self-motivated and efficient.

 

Hours: Should be available May – October working up to 7 days a week. You may be called to work even on scheduled days off. Hours will be assigned between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. This position is seasonal and part-time.

 

Job Duties: Cleaning of all barns, stalls, pens and cages. Feeding and grooming of animals. Operate rides, assist with arena performances, displays and special events. Operate cash regiesters, handle moneyYou will be assisting with general groundskeeping (i.e. picking up trash, pulling weeds, watering flowers, etc.). There will be other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

 

Hobby Horse Gift Shop Team: Will cross train with Barn Team
Desirable traits:
Must have pleasant personality, friendly, people oriented. Must be able to learn tasks quickly and perform them with limited supervision. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Must have good math skills and be able to handle money. Computer keyboarding is a must. Should be self-motivated and efficient.

 

Hours: Should be available May – October working up to 7 days a week. You may be called to work on scheduled days off. Hours will be assigned between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM. This position is seasonal and part-time.

 

Job Duties: Operate cash regiesters, handle money, answer phones.

Clean area around cash registers and stock with supplies. Sweep outside porches. Pick up trash around gift shop inside and out. Dust shelving, display units, and merchandise. Vacuum, wash doors & glass cabinets. Restock and straighten merchandise. Clean toilets, sinks, floors, walls and doors & stock bathrooms. Perform other duties as assigned.

Groundskeeping & Maintenance Team:
Desirable traits: Polite, able to follow directions, work well with other people, work unsupervised, work well alone at times, work outside, be neat and clean, and get along well with the general public.

Hours: Should be available May – October working up to 7 days a week. Hours will be assigned between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. This position is part-time and seasonal.

Job Duties:

Animal Care
Assist in cleaning animal stalls as needed, feed and water animals, clean nature trail pens and surrounding areas. Empty trash daily, sweep, vacuum or use blower to clean off barn floors and outdoor walkways.

Grounds Maintenance

Push mowing, weed eating, riding lawn mower, mulching, cleaning up brush, planting flowers, pulling weeds, raking leaves, raking grass, picking up trash (including cigarettes butts), repair fence

Painting

Scraping, pressure washing, painting with latex and oil base paints, paint spraying, brushing and rolling

Carpentry

Hammering, measuring, use of power tools

Operating Rides

Wagon Ride, Other Rides as needed

Making Hay

Driving tractor, Unloading hay

Other duties as assigned

Equipment: Riding Lawn Mower, Circular Saw, Hammers, Tape Measures, Rakes, Shovels, Manure Forks, Power Sweeper, Power washer, Weed Eater, Push Mower, Hay ladders, Farm Tractor. There are age restrictions on power equipment and machinery
